I have just had to contact Tech Support with a problem on the upgrade to 2008 and again am so pleased with the speed and accuracy of the response!!! So often it takes forever with some software companies and then you have to go through several emails to find a solution, but these guys are really on the ball - I should know having now retired from the IT industry after over 30 years of working with computers!!!! rolleyes.gif

I concur. I had a lot of trouble getting HideMyIP to work with Firefox, though surprisingly not IE7.

Anyway, Doug helped heaps and I'm very grateful.

It is not Support to receive what you paid for. It is somebody's fault and your wasted time you are to be compensated for. Let these "on the ball guys" from Tech Support explain before the Forum and all users the following Hide My IP everyday problems:

1. Hide My IP was unable to locate an available IP. This is most likely a temporary problem, try restarting Hide My IP.
YOUR EXISTING FAKE IP HAS BEEN KEPT

2. 502 Proxy Error
The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server.
The proxy server could not handle the request GET http://www.hide-my-ip.com/403.shtml.
Reason: DNS lookup failure for: www.hide-my-ip.com

3. Why am I seeing this page (http://www.hide-my-ip.com/403.shtml)?
When Hide My IP is running, your web browser will use one of our IP addresses to access the Internet. Hide My IP must remain running to notify our servers that your computer has permission to use our IP addresses. You may see this page if: ..... , etc.
