I installed, tried, and then uninstalled the hide My IP 2009 software, but now, even after numerous (very slow) restarts, whenever I load up firefox I get the same infuriating nonsense. I click on my home tab which is google, but then it redirects to: http://www.hide-my-ip.com/403.shtml and there is nothing I can do about this.
My internet works ok in IE and Chrome, but this redirect nonsense is occuring and I have no idea how the hell to get rid of it.
Please advise asap.

Have you tried reinstalling FF ?
