I'm here in Canada and set Google as my home page... Google.com not Google.ca, by my own choice.

If I tab over to Google News, it use to always give me news sources based on what home page I was one (Google.ca > Google.ca/News; Google.com > Google.com/News).

Recently (the past few days), I noticed even if I set my home page to Google.com, if I clicked news, it would *still* give me ONLY Canadian news sources (CBC.ca, CTV.ca, Globe & Mail, National Post, etc.).

So I'm happy to have Hide My IP enabled to still get access to the American news sources, since they're my favourite go-to sites for news (Top Stories, Entertainment, Sci/Tech).

I dont know if this is some sort of Geo-filtering by my ISP, but I sure wouldn't enjoy Google News as much if I was tied down to Canadian sources *only*!

Just a friendly FYI and job well done.
