I've been hearing some pretty good stuff about HMIP and as the proxy surfer I currently use is not working very well, I downloaded a copy and installed.

I don't have a license key - thought I'd try it out first

Installed ok but when I try to run I get the error as per attached screen-shot

I'm on an XP system with net 3.5 SP (presumably service pack upgrade)

Any comments highly appreciated

When the software has a problem connecting to the verification database, there are 2 areas of concern:

1. We are having a temporary problem on our end
2. There is something in your computer (i.e. a firewall, anti-virus, anti-spyware program) blocking the software's ability to access the Internet.

I have a problem too. Hide-My-Ip don't work anymore since this morning I sent an error report but it changes nothing.

I have installed and didn't get any error message.
But how can I confirm that my Ip is hide. Because I see the system tray that world globe is rotating nothing else.
Is it done or what?

1. The fake IP will always show up in the main window of the software
2. You can check to make sure your IP is being hidden by going to http://www.IPchicken.com

FYI i use window xp sp3, .net framework 3.5 SP1, Cfospeed make internet faster. I have turn off my antivirus and windows firewall . Thx..
