Hey Doug:

So it seems HMIP is only hiding my IP part of the time. Sometimes when browsing a specific site, I get a error that says: ACCESS DENIED, http:403, and then goes on to say that the page has been access too many times from the current IP address - and the IP address they list is my home IP address, instead of the one that HMIP is showing.

I've been using the product for some time without a problem - this issue just started cropping up today - and I havent changed anything. I am running HMIP 2009, with Premium Service, chg IP every 1 min, use SmartSwitch IS selected, desired location set to UNITED STATES, legacy mode is NOT enabled, Hide My User Agent IS selected, Hide referral header is NOT selected, enable IP history IS selected.

if I stop browsing for a few minutes...it seems that I can again access the page - but it gets annoyinig that sometimes it is apparently NOT hiding the ip addr.

Please help...thanks!
Dana

The Web server (running the Web site) thinks that the HTTP data stream sent by the client (e.g. your Web browser) was correct, but access to the resource identified by the URL is forbidden for some reason.

This indicates a fundamental access problem, which may be difficult to resolve because the HTTP protocol allows the Web server to give this response without providing any reason at all. So the 403 error is equivalent to a blanket 'NO' by the Web server - with no further discussion allowed.

Therefor we cannot tell if the access denial is solely based upon an IP address. But, in most instances, when web sites grant or not allow access because of an IP address, a far different error message usually shows up.

By far the most common reason for this error is that directory browsing is forbidden for the Web site. Most Web sites want you to navigate using the URLs in the Web pages for that site. They do not often allow you to browse the file directory structure of the site.
