Hi Doug / others:

I am continually getting this error:
"Unable to access Hide My Ip Service SecureSrv, please reinstall Hide My Ip"

I have uninstalled previously and reinstalled, several times, even following the directions that were once posted in this forum, and still get it constantly. When that error pops up, it stops HMIP from working. It's driving me a little crazy. What else can I do to fix this problem?

In case it helps...these are my settings:

Premium Service is ON
Chg IP every 1 minute
Use Smartswitch
Launch on Startup
--then under advanced settings--
Enable HMIP for selected browsers [all are selected]
Legacy mode is NOT enabled
User Agent Hidden [this is NOT a problem for the website I use HMIP for - they do not care if User Agent is hidden]
Refferrer Header is NOT hidden

Thats it.

Be certain to first disable your User Account Control.
Then uninstal the software; reboot the computer and reinstall using IE directly from the website and when given the choice, select "run" (not save).

If the above does not rectifiy the situation, please write to staff@hide-my-ip.com and let them know you've also seen this post.

i got the same problem, already reinstalled the program 3 times and still the same.

i got it working now, i did what you said and disabled my kaspersky also . maybe the kaspersky firewall was the culprit.

and just when i posted this the program stopped working again no securesrv in my taskmanager

i am watching my taskmanager and securesrv is trying to load every 5 seconds but keeps dissapearing from the taskmanager. the program itself is also not working in legacymode because my ip is kept meaning the program says my ip is hidden but if i go to what is my ip it's my ip that is showing.
