Some of past feature improvements have been the direct result of the ideas and suggestions of our customers and clients.
We value your input and look forward to hearing your thoughts and ideas right here!

I subscribe to the premium edition. I have used your service and I think that it is very helpful for privacy issues.
That said I would like to see some IP Addresses in Mexico (especially) and South America.
Keep me apraised on when that happens... I will really be geeked-out when it does.

Maintaining our private IP's and servers is very costly to us. But that system is one thing, amoung others, that makes Hide-My-IP unique and reliable. To add another batch of IP's and server that is country specific is usually determined by the economics of the situation. Basically, if enough customers want something, and keep requesting it, I'll be certain that the programmers get that information from this Board. Right now, there are several countries that are top contenders. But the more requests there are for a certain country, the more the people who make those decisions may be influenced to go that way.
Mexico is a good country choice. Let's see what happens.

Can you add to this product (hide my ip) antivirus feature? Hides IP plus antivirus. That is wonderful !

Interesting suggestion. I know the programmers read this board all of the time. Let's see what they have to say about it (if anything).

greetings,
i'd like to throw my suggestion in the hat for the addition of some Ireland IPs.
maybe take a poll of registered users to see which country(ies) they'd like to see?
lastly - are there any current plans/timetable for additional countries?
thanks!
peace,

Ireland is an excellent suggestion. I will tell you that the programmers *do* read this forum and they are sensitive to the needs and recommendations of our customers! So the more suggestions you have, the more likely the suggestion(s) may appear in the next release.
Right now, the programmers are considering several countries to add to the list.
But your input would be of an enormous assistance in helping them to decideSo let's hear it on this Forum!

Heyz,
As I posted to another topic some months ago, I would luv to see somekind of thingy that can hide your OS, Browser and all the other information Stuff, an Operator of a Chat or Website could see normaly... that would be great, maybe on 2009 Edition? Or kinda Add On Program? I would buy it gg since I search for something like that for a year now gg...
As I mentioned I saw lots of ppl havin kind of "blocker" like that in a Chatroom so u can't see their Details... so maybe its not a new invention but I would luv to have that from you guys! Since Now its my 3rd year with Hide my IP and I trust u on good quality & service guys!!! So hopefully my x-mas wish will get heard by u

Sofi Tomorrow I will be meeting with the owners-developers of Hide My IP to discuss a variety of issues. I have put your suggestion on the list of topics we'll be discussing. I don't know what they have to say about it.
If there is a technical reason why this cannot be done in our software, I'll try to find out why and let you know.
And a very Merry Christmas to you from the United States and wishing you a most prosperous New Year!

OK ... some very interesting stuff coming out in the 2009 version of Hide My IP. They are going to work on the issue of hiding the browser, but no promises. This issue was discussed at length during the meeting.
The 2009 version will have some great improvements and features added to it. More details after the first of the year!

If at all possible, in the next update of the "Hide My IP" software, please make the following improvement ...
The "EXTENDED LOG" is a very useful tool!!
It should be updated to include the "TIME" and "DATE" of ALL IP changes ... including when all ''error messages'' are recorded too - such as, "IP xx.xx.#####.##### Did Not Pass Tests".
Thank you for listening.

Just curious ... why would you want to log time and date of ip changes?
There are countless reasons ... but for one example:
If the HMI "Extended Log" also recorded the date and time of all IP changes, you could match Internet Explorer's "History" file (sites you visited), with the time stamps in the "Extended Log". You could then KNOW what IP address you were utilizing at the exact time and date when any particular site was visited - including what IP changes took place during the duration of your visit to a particular site.

A small time saving feature I would like to see:
At present in advanced options you can select which browsers use the hide my ip - nice.
Even better would be if you could - for example - set Fireworks to be USA ip and e.g. IE to be UK ip - etc.
That way browsing US channels could be done on Firefox and when you want to browse the UK you could use IE.
It would save remembering and a little fiddling (and the favorites wd be US on FF and UK on IE) - I like things idiot proof - for obvious reasons.
OR even better ..... something along the lines of Foxy Proxy whereby you could set eg AOL to have USA ip and BBC to have UK ip etc .......

These are good suggestions and have been passed along to the programmers.
I'm sure that when they start to consider the 2010 version, they will look these over.

Any future support for adding gtalk to the list of useable apps with hidemyip?
When i enable any app with gtalk enabled it fails, plus after installing hidemyip any app that uses gtalk willnot run and i have to do a system restore to go back to earlier because a simple uninstall will not fix whatever just happened.
Any ideas why that would happen?

If you are referring to Google Talk, that is on our Compatibility List for which you would need the Premium Service to hide your IP while using it. Review this post:

We've tested gTalk (again) with Hide My IP and the system works fine. Perhaps there is some configuration you're not doing correctly. Please write to staff@hide-my-ip.com with the specifics of your issue as it does appear to be very unique and not covered in the hundreds of posts on this forum.

can we get a feature when i can turn ip masking for all local network ip addresses? i have IE addon it talks to local database I can not connect to my database as i secured it to accept connection only from local ips but it seams that HMIP controls the network traffic and changes ip requests from my app to my local db. Let me know if this is not clear ...
I meant turn HMIP for apps same as you have list of apps to turn it on .. to have a list of apps to turn it off ...
I meant turn off. Some how I missed "off" in both posts

Without knowing what application(s) you are referring to, we can't say for certain if that can be done.

Hi,
I do not know if it´s on the sotware, but i could not find it out.
When i send emails i need to hide the Computer name and the ISP name...Hide my ip mask the sending IP but not the computer and ISP name.
Is there any way to hide the computer name and ISP? If not, i´d suggest to add this feature.
I submitted long time ago to add Glock Easymail but not answer at the moment.

Please see the main page of our web site and you'll see that the ISP is hidden.
If anyone has submitted a program to be added to the Compatibility List, and it has not appeared after 3 business days on the list, write to staff@hide-my-ip.com and ask for an update. Make sure you provide the name of the executable and a link to its web site.
