I have just purchased and installed the software and thought "wow, good work!". Then I had some C++ error or so. Then uninstalled and reinstalled, fine. Then, I realized that I couldn't access to my exchange server via outlook anymore. I restarted services and then server, no success. So I uninstalled HideMyIP, everything worked fine again. Reinstalled HideMyIp, everything is gone again, no access to Exchange server.

Apparently, HideMyIp blocks access to local exchange server somehow. I sent a support request to the staff and I had a reply from Doug which was telling me to read the following URL;

http://www.microsoft.com/learning/syllabi/...2011afinal.mspx

Hey, what is it with this URL? Why should I read this MS article just because of the bug in your software which is blocking my Outlook?

I am still waiting for your real support. Or I will be very very sorry for the money I paid for NOTHING. angry.gif

There was more to my reply to this customer that what has been indicated.

In any event, I've asked our programmers to look into this issue in order to provide this customer with the best technical support available.

Hide My IP has 7 day a week Forum and email tech support. That's pretty hard to beat for $29.95 tongue.gif

It is always interesting to see how people are slow to acknowledge good tech support but very quick to comment on it otherwise.

Oh well, such is life .. biggrin.gif

Of course, positive comments are always welcomed at this URL for a new topic:

On our website, there is a list of programs that are compatible with the Premium Service. That list can be found here:

MS Exchange has never been on that list.

I can't connect to Exchange server even when H-MIP 2009 is turned off.
I have VPN connection in my network and I can't disable it. I assume that this software will not working in this environment?

As stated earlier in this string:

MS Exchange has never been on that list, nor do we represent that HMIP is compatible with Microsofts Exchange Server.

Yes, thank you for answer, but why there is a problem also when HMIP is turned off??
Are there some Outlook core files modified during HMIP installation?

Regards.

You need to exit the program. Just "x"ing out of the software does not exit the program.
Are you having this problem yourself?
If so, from what location, Poland or Finland?

There is no issue with Hide My IP being isntalled and exited properly and then using Microsoft's Exchange Server, the issue is more likely to do with your location or your computer.

That being the case, please write to staff@hide-my-ip.com and we'll be happy to assist to see why that is happening.

Maybe I didn't describe this clear.

This situation occurs only when my computer is connected to Internet via corporate network (Finland IP) thrum VPN and this is why my IP is Finnish.

When I'm using HMIP with Polish ISP everything is fine, but in this case I don't use Outlook (I can't use it because of server settings-needs to be in VPN).

So when I am in corporate network I can't use HMIP.
When I am at home with my laptop I can use Your great tool.
And this is fine for me, I can accept this situation but when I had installed HMIP and turned off (completely) I still can`t connect to my corporate web. I can't have HMIP even installed on my laptop when I'am at work... And this is the problem.

Regards.

In order for Hide My IP to work properly with Outlook or Outlook Express, those applications cannot be configured for a VPN. Hide My IP does not work well with VPN's, nor was it designed to.

This may explain why you're having the issues.

Thanks again for trying to help me.

At this point I see only one way to use your app.
I need HMIP really not so often and i will re-install the app when I will need it. Fortunately I don't see any restrictions for it when I use this soft on the same computer. It's not comfortable but works, maybe I will find better method someday.

Thanks again,
BR
