I have quite a few questions, i am very technically challenged so please if you could explain it in a little depth i would appreciate it.

1)from what i gather my mac address is my computers id, and my ip address is my internet connection id...is this correct?
2) if i have both of those programs (hide my mac and hide my ip) on my computer does it make my virtually untracable?
3)Would this work for someone who is trying to use clickbanks program, which certain countries cannot use, would that person be able to use an ip address from a country that is accepted by clickbank. So does the website or company ACTUALLY think you are from the country whos ip address you are using, and is there anyway for them to find out you arent?
4) he is also putting up a website through an anomynous domain hosting website, which he would sell through, but he would also need to use a checkout program that handles his payments, will they know that he is not from the country his ip says he is with the use of your program?
5) If this is on the computer can it be used so when ever the computer is on it has different ip and mac addressess, or would this not need to be done.
and finally
6) if i were to create an ebook or some other application on my computer (that is using these two programs) would they also be untraceable to the people who they were sent to.

I understand if you cannot answer them as some deal with other companies but I appreciate any feedback
but like I said i have trouble with this stuff, so if you could explain it like you would to a 5 year old lol that would be very much appreciated.
Thanks Franky

Hi again, there were two more questions i have. sorry to lay so much on you at once.

I hear people talking about proxy servers i dont know what they are or if they are important, if they are is it something you offer or would i need to look elsewhere for that portion.

and about the ebooks, what i mean is like activ ebook compiler or just abode pdf documents, could they be sent out with out being traced back if i was using the hide my ip and hide my mac programs just thought i would be more specific with that
thanks again

To answer your questions:

1. In computer networking, a Media Access Control address (MAC address), Ethernet Hardware Address (EHA), hardware address, adapter address or physical address is a quasi-unique identifier assigned to most network adapters or network interface cards (NICs) by the manufacturer for identification. If assigned by the manufacturer, a MAC address usually encodes the manufacturer's registered identification number.

Every device connected to the public Internet is assigned a unique number known as an Internet Protocol (IP) address. IP addresses consist of four numbers separated by periods (also called a 'dotted-quad') and look something like 127.0.0.1.

2. It would make it harder to trace you, but no one is "virtually untracable" on the Internet.

3a. Depends on Clickbanks's Policy with respect to IP's that come from a proxy server
3b. To the website, it appears that the site visitor is using an IP from another country

4. Some check out programs don't allow the use of programs like Hide My IP while trying to purchase something.

5. Can you manually change the IP address in Hide My IP and Hide My MAC. You can also set Hide My IP to change your IP every "x" number of minutes.

6. There is no relationship to the created eBook and an IP address. The IP address would only relate to the person sending the eBook.

Your other 2 questions:

1. All of the IP addresses in our system that our customers use come from our proxy servers

2. With the basic Hide My IP, you can conceal your IP address in browser based emails. With our Premium Service you can also conceal it when use email clients like Outlook or Outlook Express.
