Hi Doug

This might sound stupid to the literate computer community but I have to ask anyways.

Can billboard companies contact (Hide my IP) and request subscibers info? I mean, If they have one of the fake IP addresses that are randomly used could they track the IP address back to (hide my IP the company) and request subscribers info?

Also if I subscribe to the Premium version of Hide my IP does it offer more IP addresses? and are you able to save and reuse the same IP address for each log in ID?

What is it they say ... the only "stupid" questions are the one's that aren't asked?

Anyone can request information from My Privacy Tools, Inc. But we wouldn't be much of an "Internet Privacy" company, or advocate, if we sold or gave away that info, now would we? huh.gif

With the Premium Subscription and Hide My IP 2009, you have access to hundreds of IP addresses.
See this link: http://www.hide-my-ip.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=49

You can have the software use the same IP address by marking a check box.

Very slim chance of that happening and I highly doubt that My Privacy Tools, Inc. would do such a thing unless we're talking about a complaint at a federal level tongue.gif Hope not

but the question is.. could they actually trace the fake ip back to my privacy tools, inc.? i mean what would be the use of hiding your ip. if they could simply see or atleast SEE that the ip they see on you is an ip from my privacy tools, inc., which is a Proxy....

this is the data from 5 minutes before this post of the hmip ip that i am on now (x'ed out as the "target" and "node" 18, shown as San Jose, the location of the ip)
i can/have replicated this with other ip's and they show data consistent with the ip and location quoted in the hmip software, never revealing hmip as the owner, as shown below
