Yes hide my ip is loosing connection to the database. This is not the first time this specific error has occured with your software for long periods of times... now it has been like this for 2 straight days...

So, when will you be fixing this problem, that your proxy serves looses connection every 20 minutes?
hietanen
Maybe its just Bloomington proxy that looses connection? When I for once got another proxy besides from Illinois Bloomington it has not failed, yet. Maybe you can look into that one.

With the new release of Hide My IP 2009, there have been some servers issues that need to be tweaked.

Thank you for your patience.

Any idea how long this tweaking will take? I've also had problems since early this month with losing the connection to the proxy server, and sometimes not being able to get a proxy at all. I sent you guys an e-mail about the problem and was advised to update to the 2009 version, which I've just done. Now I cannot log onto any forums with my username and password when HideMyIP is running. That includes THIS forum. What's going on?

1. You need to review this post as it is not recommended that you use a previous username and/or password, created before acquiring Hide My IP: http://www.hide-my-ip.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=10

2. Some sites, including this forum, don't like encrypted signals or messing with the "User Agents" These settings are clearly for Advanced Users. Please review this post:

I just joined this forum yesterday, so there's no question that I already had HideMyIP. The only thing selected in my advanced settings is "Launch Hide My IP on Startup".
It seems that I've gone from a version of Hide My IP that worked with forums but didn't always provide a proxy reliably (2008), to a version of Hide My IP that simply does not work at all with forums (2009).

Those kinds of comments are really counter-productive.
Hide My IP 2009 works fine on nearly all forums.

What is the name of the forum you are trying to access and we'll attempt to duplicate the issue and resolve the matter.

I'm sorry you feel that way. I came here looking for help, and you gave me two link. I then gave you feedback that was directly connected with the two links you suggested. Then I summarized what my experience has been.

Yesterday I received an error message saying that part of HideMyIP was not working (SecureSrv) and that HideMyIP needed to be reinstalled. So, I reinstalled it. After that, I still got an error message about "SecureSrv" AND my internet connections became much, much slower. I have now uninstalled HideMyIP, however while I was uninstalling I got an error message that "SecureSrv" could not be uninstalled. So, I really have no idea anymore what I should think. The only thing I know is my browser seems to be working properly again.

I am very sorry that you find my asking for help and giving you information directly related to your suggestions to be unhelpful. I guess you'll find my latest problem unhelpful too, but I am not a programmer. I'm just an end-user with a program that has apparently been doing things it shouldn't have been doing.

This is the comment that I, and other readers of this board have told me, found counter-productive:
"a version of Hide My IP that simply does not work at all with forums (2009)."

This is a very negative and patently false statement to post on this Forum.

We have asked you for the name of the Forum you cannot post to. As we stated before, we'll try to duplicate that issue and see how it can be resolved.
