Hi,

After playing and testing HideMyIp2008 last year,
i just decided to purchased HideMyIp 2009.
Somehow its not working (2008 did work) and i suspect that its because i have to use a proxy-server.
Is this limitation new in 2009 ? Is there a way to get it work with proxy-server ?

What does "not working" mean?
All editions of Hide My IP use a proxy server.

After starting it, it says "can not connect to internet...".
The situation is, i want to use it on my company computer where we are all behind firewall and use a proxy-server for going out: proxy.xyz port 8080

Hide My IP is not designed to circumvent corporate firewalls or corporate servers. In fact, Hide My IP is also not compatible when using any other type of proxy.

Hmmm, what i don't understand is that somehow i was able to do this with the previous version last year !
So has the 2009-version some new limitations ?

There are no new limitations on Hide My IP 2009. If anything, there are far more options available.

hi new user. I payed the subscription and was given the free 3 day's premium. I think it is a mistake to tick boxes of what IP's you will use most in the free premium section as it lets the company know what country you wish to use mostly. I have found that when it was the free 14 trial it found the UK IP within about 3 refreshes, now after i am still refreshing looking for an IP from UK upto half an hour, it gives me USA and Germany but not what i want for a long time. This in my mind is a trick to get you to upgrade to premium to save you the half hour of refreshing the search for UK IP. I am about to start my search now for an IP from UK as i want to watch a show that starts in half an hour.

You are so right I am an IDIOT, I must be for sitting here most days for in excess of 30 minutes and more each day trying to get an English IP. You say that premium users get priority, but that must be all day they are getting their IP connections as I find it hard whenever I try. I dont think your policy of calling a paying customer an Idiot after you have taken their money is very proffesional either.

i have been testing the free trial so i was unaware of any premium service problems you "might" have been having.

i just entered my premium service license key into the software and tested every non us location, changing the ip multiple times for every location.

the results were: multiple ip's for each location loaded in 5 seconds or less.

"possibly" the issue is you're unreliable internet connection.....

I am not a premium user. My internet connection is fine. I can change locations at the same rate as you are getting.
