ok having a few problems since buying hide-my-ip

why do i have a process called SECURE~1.exe running which is slowing down my browser when i stop this process the webpages load fine

then the other day opened firefox and every tab redirected to hide-my-ip.com/403.shtml#restore and i dont even have hidemyip open

N:\PROGRA~1\HIDEMY~2\SECURE~1.EXE

1. There is no program called SECURE~1.exe associated with, or used by, Hide My IP.
2. Windows will shorten a file name by inserting the "~" character in place of certain letters.
3. SecureSrv.exe is most likely the program that is used by Hide My IP
4. The filename SECURESRV.EXE refers to many versions of an executable program. It is not spyware, it is not adware.
5. SECURESRV.exe is an executable program that is run by Hide My IP in order to assist in the proper application of the program
