Hi,

Excellent software which works perfectly for me.

Just to check before buying - the trial works perfectly with BBC iplayer - totally fluid & responsive - can I assume that it will work the same if I just buy the standard version or will it be necessary to subscribe to the premium version to keep it working fluidlyall the time?

Also, will it continue to work with BBC iplayer or will I need to pay to upgrade every time you release a new version?

Purchase of the basic software will come with a free, 3 day trial to the Premium Service. So you'll be able to see if you want the Premium Service.

You will not need to upgrade to future versions of the software if legacy (archived) versions continue to work with the iBBC player.

So am I right in assuming the 14 day trial is the basic version and as it works fine now with BBC iplayer i will not need the premium service?

it's always better to use premium service.

Animal's correct. It is always better to subscribe to the Premium Service. Compared to any of our competitors, $8.95 / month is a bargain, especially when you consider the support the company provide's as well.

Sorry to be a pain but you are avoiding my question - For BBC iplayer, will the basic version give me at least what i had with the trial (or is the trial version equivalent to the premium service) ? The trial version ran flawlessly. I don't want to pay a monthly charge cos all the BBC can be dowloaded quickly from UKNova & thebox and it's marginal anyway whether I pay the $29.95 - so if you want another sale, please be honest & clear.

Cheers

The Premium Service is an add-on and not included in the 14 day trial version.
When you first purchase Hide My IP, the company will provide you with a free, day trial to the Premium Service.
Whatever works with the trial version will work with the basic version. The number of available IP's will be different, however.

Do you mean there will be less IPs in the basic version than with the trial?

How many different IP addresses can I get with Hide My IP?

We currently have three sets of IP addresses: Open Network, Standard, and Premium IP addresses. We have around 150 Open Network IPs at any given moment, these IPs are updated every hour and may be slower than the other IPs. Standard, and Premium IP addresses are owned and managed by us and are faster than Open Network IPs, with the highest speed reserved for Premium Service subscribers. We currently have over 60 Standard and 150 Premium IPs. We are always adding more Standard and Premium IPs every few weeks.

There is no "basic" software, per se. The software is the same regardless of which level of IP service you are using.
The Hide My IP software can provide you with 3 levels of service.

Basic service is what you pay $29.95 for one time.
Standard Service is provided for you for the first year of your purchase at no additional charge.
Premium Service is a subscription service and the highest/best service provided.

The Trial Version is a slightly expanded version (in terms of the number of IP's) of the Trial version.

Que? (Trial-Trial?)

I think he is refering to the downloadable 14 day free trial, which i do belive have access to more ips that the basic version, although it also runs slower that the standard version does, meaning that webpages and such load up slower that usual,

As as you increase which version you are using the speed of said ip's increases ^^

I think that's right, please correct me if im wrong smile.gif

I don't think I was too clear in my last post on this issue.

When you own the software at $29.95, a customer will have access to either the basic service; the standard service or the Premium Service subscription.

With the Premium Service, the software is enhanced (expanded) in order to allow for use of the various Premium Service features, most notably the ability to select a country or USA city from a drop down menu.

The trial version of the software is limited in that you don't have access to the Premium Service or to the Standard Service. You don't have access to as many IP's as there are in the Standard service.
