And if an unauthorized person uses your network to commit a crime or send spam, the activity can be traced back to your account.

Don’t let that happen to you. Listen and learn how to make your home wireless network at safer and more enjoyable feature of being on the Internet.

Callers are encouraged to dial (347) 202-0101 to listen or participate in the show.

Internet Job Scams

Join us this Tuesday, May 17, 2011, at 5:00 pm (Pacific) / 8:00 pm (Eastern) for our Blog Talk Radio program “It’s Your Privacy.” The topic for this week:

Internet Job Scams

Looking for that job over the Internet? Looking for a job working on the Internet?

While many big name companies now advertise employment opportunities at their brick-and-mortar location or for telecommuters, their Internet postings will be reliable. But what of the company you’ve never heard of before? And what of the company that promises very big money, for very little work?

One of the biggest scams on the Internet today is known as “payment forwarding” or “payment transfer” positions.

Payment-transfer scams involve con artists who pretend to want to employ you. The con artist uses a job classified ad, either on line or in a newspaper, to lure you into a huge, possibly, trap. Desperately seeing a job, the victim accepts the “position” while revealing information about yourself that no self-respecting employer would ever ask.

Find out more about this scam. Don’t be a victim. You won’t want to miss this revealing show that just may save you a lot of money; a lot of embarrassment and possibly avoid entanglement with the law!

Callers are encouraged to dial (347) 202-0101 to listen or participate in the show.

Social Networking And Privacy Law

Join us this Tuesday, May 10, 2011, at 5:00 pm (Pacific) / 8:00 pm (Eastern) for our Blog Talk Radio program “It’s Your Privacy.” The topic for this week:

Social Networking And Privacy Law

Many folks believe that there are privacy laws on the books that protect them from intrusive web sites or others. That is not necessarily true.

In the United States, there is no “right to privacy” as it is not a clearly definable right under the Constitution of the United States. Many would say there are no such rights when applied to the Internet.

Few laws can be interpreted today as protecting information you give to social networks or other sites. In fact, laws that do protect your privacy refer to very specific types of information, including your medical or financial records. And realize that laws that do attempt to protect privacy rights do not necessarily extend to information searches on the Internet.

This is scary stuff! And you won’t want to miss this show if you’re in the least bit concerned about what is, or isn’t protected when it comes to your privacy on the Internet and with social networks.

Callers are encouraged to dial (347) 202-0101 to listen or participate in the show.
